1 - Nature On Fire

Let me be clear before I proceed any further. I do not support or endorse anyone’s participation in politics or in playing any active role in government as a means to an end in this world. I believe it is through “law” mankind enslaves one another; whereas many feel it is by intimidation and weaponry they do this.
“Law” is the lie that gives justification to control. No matter how just and how decent a person or a group of people claim to be, there is always a hidden agenda of bias lurking beneath the surface. When speaking of mankind as a whole, Yahweh learned early on and stated in Genesis 6:5 ‘that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.’
Now, this is not saying that some people do not find favor with the Lord and can please Him, but even in those who find favor with the Lord, selfishness and greed are a part of their character and they are incapable of living up to the glory of Yah. Even when Yahweh chose a king for backsliding Yisrael, the best king they could get out of men – David – He failed. David’s desire to take and to hold anything he wanted, allowed him to justify to himself his right to send a young man into heated battle to die for him, to die for his vanity.
All war is vain. There is no just war.

2 - The Gospel
“Law” is what warriors fight for because it is the apparent conclusion of a war. Once there is “law” established people tend to feel as though justice has been served and the world is a much better place. We have been indoctrinated by the civilized to look at “lawlessness” as anarchy. In their mindset, chaos will reign supreme without laws and without the enforcement of laws.
The thing is, however, everyone knows fully that the wrong “laws” can be just as destructive as and no better than no “laws.”
So what we really have is, is a power grab for the right to make and enforce laws. People simply want the right to make their idea of justice and fairness be the rule of the land.
John 18:31 ‘Then said Pilate unto them, Take ye Him (Yahshua), and judge Him according to your law.’
Law crucifies the innocent and justifies the evil.
Galatians 3:13 ‘Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. . . ‘
For everyone everywhere – Hear the gospel – The good news!!! Because of the great sacrifice Christ made for us, “no man is justified by the law” (Galatians 3:11). You cannot make any laws that are Christian laws and use the enforcement of them to show your faith and make a better world because “the law is not of faith” (Galatians 3:12).
In Christ, it will not be chaos without the law.

3 - Conservative Hypocrisy
In America, a land where freedom is said to be the norm and not the anomaly, we have representatives in Congress who can contradict the very Constitution they swear to defend and still appear to be the superior American. And I am not talking about the liberals who support gay rights and abortions and all the other things contrary to the Bible.
I’m sadly talking about the ones who claim to be superior because they believe “God” has given them this nation to do with it as they wish. And as they wish, is the assimilation and the destruction of sub-cultures they deem to be inferior in matters of faith, knowledge, leadership and behavior.
Michelle Bachmann accidently let the conservative mindset be released, seen and examined when she used her wagging tongue to kindle a little fire. The very fact that many were not offended but rather pleased by her words, is a sign of how racism is still very much alive and thriving in today’s American society.
Michelle Bachman and the conservative agenda want to make everyone think and believe they are playing nice and fair, but the truth is, it is the same strong-arm techniques being employed, that led the way for white European imperialism in the first place. Their philosophy of freedom comes right out and says “We are right and you are wrong.” And it is from that “moral” high ground, they begin their walk. They never even took a second to imagine what they had done and believed, as a nation in the past might have been wrong. No, all the slavery and genocide white America committed against literally millions of Native Americans, immigrants and minorities doesn’t amount to anything heinous or ugly. By law, it was all just. In their superior world, everyone is free to be assimilated into their idea of what society should be. And the problems with this utopian freedom only begin when people are unwilling to be assimilated by it. If you don’t want to be assimilated into their idea of freedom and justice, then you will be restricted, denied, rejected and possibly eliminated by it, by the “law.”
Simply by referring to another group of people as a “sub-culture,” the onus is put on the labeled culture to live up to some false sense of righteousness being force upon them. They have to prove to this other group of self-righteous hypocrites that they are indeed worthy of being treated fairly and equally by the superior culture.

4 - Multicultural Inequality
“This whole philosophical idea of multicultural diversity which on the face sounds wonderful. Let’s appreciate and value everyone’s cultures. But guess what? Not all cultures are equal. Not all values are equal.” - Michelle Bachman (1:05-1:22)
That is duplicity in its most blatant form. She sounds like she is endorsing, supporting and valuing other cultures, but then, in seconds, says that not all cultures are equal and not all values are equal. In other words, her culture is superior to those others. She is not saying her culture is superior, but the impetus to carry that thought through is there to take and believe. She is most definitely not saying that her culture, on the scale of equal-ness, is inferior. What politician would say that?
No, Michelle Bachmann wants to make it clear that tribal community living is inferior to a civilized culture which has educated people standing on the faithlessness of laws, judges, law enforcement and jails.
Galatians 3:12 ‘And the law is not of faith: but the man that doeth them shall live in them.’

5 - The Crane vs The Loon
In the Great Lakes region, where I live, there is an Indian legend of the “echo-makers.” In the natural world these “echo-makers” are the Crane and the Loon.
Crane was considered the leader. His calls were unique and rare. There were no laws that said everyone had to listen or obey Crane. Crane simply had the respect of everyone else and when he spoke, they listened.
And then there was the Loon. The Loon decided one day to challenge the Crane for leadership.
Crane did what all great pacifists do. Crane, unwilling to fight, let Loon take charge. Because of the hoopla attached to Loon’s takeover, everyone looked to Loon for leadership.
As migration season approached, some species of birds said it was time to go. Loon decided it was not time to go. Under Loon’s new leadership, everyone would migrate together. Of course, changes in the weather caused massive hardships for many as they waited for the great day – many perished.
When they finally began to leave for the south, everyone was relieved. But then problems arose again. For some the migration was too fast, for others too slow. Some said they were going too high and others said they were flying too low. Some said they were travelling too far on certain days while others demanded they go further each day.
When the migration finally got to a place in Tennessee where Loon wanted to go, many spoke up and said they wished to go further, that they had always gone to other places like Florida and the Caribbean Islands. Loon would have none of it. Loon said everyone would stay there.
The birds decided they wanted Loon to step down. They didn’t feel Loon was valuing their diversity and not respecting the differences between them. Loon said it was important there be a standard set of values for everyone to live by even though this standard had led to hardships for many.
Finally the birds decided to abandon Loon and pleaded with Crane to be the leader again. And this is why the Loon is often seen alone today.

6 - Imperialist Gaining Strength
Mark 10:17 ‘And when He had gone forth into the way, there came one running and kneeled to Him and asked Him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?’
When I think of Christ and good leadership, I think of this example of the Crane.
Why should I respect, obey and follow the command of Loons who have been voted into office because they wanted to be leaders?
Christ wasn’t trying to be the leader anymore than Crane was trying to be the leader. The people could have kept going to Crane for advice if they wanted too, but they chose of their own free will, to follow the one who usurped authority and made himself a leader.
If you don’t want Christ’s message, you don’t have to take His advice, you don’t have to obey Him, and you don’t have to follow Him.
We have too many Loons who believe it is their God-given right, for the sake of society and peace, to save everyone from themselves by creating a standard by which everyone should be civilized. In their mindset, there has to an American way of life, and that American way of life must be the same racist, superior-minded, imperialistic standard by which European whites formed their foundation.
Michelle Bachmann tells us plainly about this duplicitous mindset in the conservative agenda.

7 - Not That Muslims Are Bad

Understand what she is saying. She is saying that Muslims are not bad but we can’t allow them to keep valuing their way of life. Their way of life is not bad but it’s also not good – not good enough anyway. See how they can try to sound nice while all the while behaving like bullies. Muslim have to let themselves be assimilated and become like white western Europeans.

Here’s that shyster nice guy approach again. We are equal opportunity for everyone that wants to follow the Loons. Our values are not only great, they are so good, everyone else needs to be assimilated to value them as well. We need a standard by which all American’s fly, even if this standard causes some to fly higher than they can, some to go further than they can. It is important that chaos not erupt from everyone doing what they believe is right. There has to be a central form of leadership that guides, directs, advises and chastises everyone.

Do not miss the seal of approval put on her statement. Her way of thinking is “God’s” way of thinking. That is the conservative mindset. Not only do they believe they represent “God” on earth, they believe it is their mission in life to enforce “God’s” will on everyone else.

8 - Hear The Crane - Hear Christ
When Conservatives hear things like Mark 13:10, that “the gospel must first be published among all nations”, they think that means it must be forced, like the crusaders, on every nation. Not only must they hear it – they must accept it.
Paul states in 1Corinthians 3:6 that he planted, Apollos watered, but only the Lord can give the increase. That means that only the Lord can make the seeds you sow grow. And not all seeds grow.
Conservatives stand bitterly opposed to tribalism which is the idea of communities coming together, not for the standardization of behaviors and practices by law, but for the common needs and basic wellbeing of those who cannot make ends meet, who cannot put food on the table, and who cannot find employment and housing.
Tribalism is all about loving thy neighbor as thyself and letting leaders be whoever the people want to follow without laws and law enforcement. People can take their advice or not. People are free to go against any standard anyone else would set for them, even if it appears to go against the wishes of “God.”
I will tell you in a heartbeat that I stand opposed to homosexuality and abortion but I would never support legislation against it because I believe in freedom, freedom that allows people to make up their own minds on how they want to be and what they want to do. Like the Crane, I don’t have to fight anyone, or get anyone’s vote to have authority to give this advice. I’m not going to impose it on anyone else and oppress anyone.
Conservatives, especially many white conservatives, believe that if we start allowing ourselves to care too much for our neighbors and the basic needs of those lazy, no-good, unethical, cultural immigrants, yuppie liberals and religious fanatics, America will fall into lawless tribalism, and “we will not long be one nation united under God.”
The fact is, we never were one nation united under any “God.” We have always been a European-style, white culture, that imposes its values on everyone else without any respect whatsoever to their worth and opinions. The whole world is free to be assimilated by the Loons.
Meanwhile the Crane, the Christ, the Messiyah, sits passively by, waiting for the day when people turn back to Him for authority and advice.
He that hath ears to hear the gospel, let him hear the gospel.

You can't change the hatred in the hearts of men. It would take a miracle to change the people who want to stomp the poor and take away rights from others who are not like them. They need to go back and study the constitution and see why it was written. I am glad that they don't outlaw ministers who have a different religious outlook. They are coming to that in some states!
Allen this was a wonderful bible study for the family I'd would rather follow The Crane (CHRIST) than All the loons(political leaders)
Stu, thanks for reading and the speech. I noticed your only mention of Christianity was to instill fear - genocide in the Far East. You say that people must assimilate to a hosts nations culture when they move there but it seems alright for America to occupy Middle Eastern nations and assimilate them. In fact, as a whole, Americans call the cultures of Muslim nations sub-cultures even though they are the predominant culture in their own lands. This tool or shell game is used not to bring about any real democracy or federalism in these other places. The pea under the shells is still the love of money. Freedom and wealth always seem to be interconnected in the conservative philosophy, when it has been proven time and time again that wealth has absolutely nothing to do with freedom. My hub is directed at the Christian stance - a true Christian stance - not a faithless one. Michelle Bachmann said plainly that Muslims are not bad, they just aren't assimilating. That means they are valuing their religion and their beliefs over those of America, France and every nation, including their own. One of the biggest problems in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq and all the Middle Eastern nations is the battle between religion and state. The state has its mind on the economic prizes while the religion is seeing and believing in a much bigger prize, an eternal prize. The way I see it, most Christians do not value their Christian faith enough because the ideas of freedom and wealth (the state) are more important to them than the ideas of peace, turning the other cheek and loving thy neighbor. Tribal leadership does not try to prevent anyone from doing anything. It does however make the basic needs of everyone in the community the primary concern of everyone. There is no separation of powers or wealth. The centrailized thinking in the conservative agenda is work to get rich or be considered anathema. Don't expect any help cause no one is going to help. And yet, the Bachmann's of the world say this is a nation under "God". No, the only necessity those in government and those abiding by government see, is the need for wealth and prosperity. They can't see how life can be simple and prosperous at the same time. Peace

I'm not trying to instill fear, but just mentioning a fact. Genocide in the Far East is truly taking place, and killings of Christians on a lesser scale are occuring in Mid East countries where Islamic government is ascending (such as Egypt).
Americans in the Middle East are not immigrants; they are on military assignments until they return home. But people who immigrate permanently should assimilate.
What Americans name Muslim cultures isn't really relevant. Islamic nations lack democracy because Islam is not democratic.
Freedom and wealth is involved everywhere in the American political spectrum. The variance is in how you obtain it (earn it or have the government steal it for you).
Bachmann is correct - immigrant Muslims often do not assimilate when they immigrate. They often try to get the host country to assimilate to Islam, frequently through infiltration and terror.
There is nothing wrong with focusing on the eternal prize, but there is a right and wrong way to obtain it. Christianity bases the eternal prize on personal conversion (giving your life to Christ); Islam bases the eternal prize on murdering non-Islamics.
You are completely correct that most self-professed Christians are not truly converted (they just go to church to keep up appearances). But this hardly compares with killing other people for refusing to convert.
Islam is not "tribal leadership;" it is a political policy rooted in world takeover by infiltration, terror, forced conversion, and murder.
Conservatives don't think "get rich or be considered anathema." They think "become rich if you are skilled enough and hard working enough to earn it without government transfer."

As Christians should not assimilate to worldly governments either. Christianity and Christians should not be focused on freedom or wealth because neither of those have anything to do with being a Christian. Christians should only be concerned with leading people to the Lord, and part of that true change in people results in redistribution of wealth. Personally I don't care if it happens because of the government or not. All my stance is, if these conservative Christian (mainly Republicans) really had the heart of a Christian, they wouldn't be looking at the long range benefits of tax cuts for the rich over the hardships it is causing today. They would expect those that have to help those who have not. They've had these tax breaks for a long time now, and many of these corporations have posted record profits, and at the same time they were laying people off, not creating new jobs, and asking for even more benefits. No matter how skilled and hardworking a person is, they are dependent on not only favorable regulations and laws of Congress, but cooperation with businesses that are already strong and prospering. Without their input and "control" to a certain extent, no business profits. Everyone wants a piece of the pie, everyone wants to be part of the gravy train. Peace
Micky Dee, I think the film, The Devil's Advocate, is pretty acurate in its basic approach to how the devil works. As Pacino says, "The law gets us into everything." As Romans 4:15 states, 'where no law is, there is no transgression.' So many people try to say they don't love money but they are so scared of not having it. Money is still the only savior they see and believe in. Got a problem? Get a better job, or a second job, and making more money. People do forget that businesses consider us to be nothing more than a human resource, no different than a hammer, a nail or a screw. They are going to use us until they break us. Peace

WTS, I completely love the Crane and Loon legend. People just aren't brave enough to be leaders like this, or follow leaders like this. As soon as you have a law, you have a standard of civilization everyone is meant to follow. I know many like Stu, think it is only the "left wing" that wants all this control through big government, but all politicans and governments are the same. They all want what they deem to be "reasonable" control. And "reasonable" control is never about everyone having the opportunity to prosper. "Reasonable" contol is about making rules that benefit whatever business they are already invested in. They can say its not, but graft is rampant. Cheney and Bush and Rice all made sure the restructure laws to benefit industries they were invested in. I can't remember the number, but I heard Bill Clinton has made a huge fortune since he left office, speaking all over the world. I don't believe for one minute politicans go into office because they care about people. They go in there because it is an opportunity to get their voice heard and make a name for themselves by which to profit. And if they can rub enough elbows, backs and other parts that want rubbing, they can get laws and ordinances changed to profit their investments outside politics. I mean, come on, Sarah Palin??? The Republicans talks about Obama having no real experience and only being a symbol of hope. If he was only that, Palin is even less. And yet they cling to the idea of what she is and she is making a fortune string them on. They keep investing in her because she says the stupid things they want to hear. You are absolutely correct that no world government is consistent with what God intends for world government - a rulership of Christ and His bride (the raptured group of Revelation). God's government will in fact be established once the Millenium starts. But in the meantime, there is a secular imperative to assimilate when you immigrate - learn the official language, adopt national customs when in public, etc. This does not mean one is obligated to sacrifice his/her moral conscience, unless the laws of the land require it, in which case you are free not to immigrate.
Forced redistribution of wealth is not Christian. Christ intended charity to be voluntary. This does not mean that wealthy people who are not charitable will have nothing to answer for after resurrection at the GWTJ, but Christ never tried to "force" Christian doctrine on anyone except the "errant elect" (those who were manifestly evil, but could be fully converted into eligibility for the bride group after being subject to Godly chastisement, such as the Apostle Paul).
Conservatives are not looking for government benefits for the wealthy. This is a RINO (moderate GOP) stand. The current Congress has only about ten true conservatives (3-4 fom the 111th Congress, and about six freshmen). True conservatives want a flat tax structure without loopholes, and as a result the wealthy are against true conservatives (like Jim DeMint, Mike Lee, Pat Toomey, etc.).
It's wrong to villify corporations for layoffs, as it is a breach of fiduciary duty to the shareowners to employ more persons than the corporation needs. Admittedly, a major reason for the layoffs is offshoring; this problem could be solved with the stroke of a pen (simply impose retalitory tariffs, and China/India/etc. would kick our shops out in two seconds flat). Low wage countries demand export protection in exchange for allowing our multinationals to set up shop there, and corporate America has spent billions in campaign donations to get this special treatment for their "host countries." You can't really blame the corporations, because again, they have a legal fiduciary duty to attempt to maximize shareowner value. The fault really lies with Congress - they should have said NO and forfeited the contributions.

I'm not sure what you mean by "dividing anything up." If you are referring to wealth redistribution, this started as a liberal policy about 80 years ago, and since has been embraced by almost all GOP's. Only the very small number of TPM incumbents, who I strongly support, are in favor of ending the federal welfare state. We can't afford it, and the federal government has no enumerated power to even be doing it (i.e., the federal government is committing a crime against the Constitution by operating these programs, in spite of domestic legislation that legalizes them).
How can you call me a fascist? A fascist is a left wing dictator who believes in territorial expansion by warfare (e.g., Hitler, Stalin). I am a conservative, to which the term fascist cannot apply, as I believe in strictly limited federal government (military, treaties, coinage, and that's about it).
The GOP is made up mostly of centrists. Obama and Clinton are socialists They are more left wing than even the mainstream of Democrats.
Like it or not, politics is power. And right now we have the most criminal and profligate people in political power in the history of the nation. I don't know why you think I'm a war mongerer. I am deeply conservative, and unlike my brethren, I am strongly against the US having a standing strategic military capacity due to cost. I know maintaining only a tactical capacity puts at risk of not being able to repel a major attack on the homeland, but we can't cut enough out of the federal budget to close the federal operating deficit without cutting the military. After the debt is paid off, I have no objection to reinstituting straegic ground troop strength. A further point is that I feel we should exit Iraq and AFPAK immediately, as we are accomplishing nothing in both theatres. Also, the intervention in Lybia is crazy; I admit Ghaddafi is a madman, but the Islamics that will take over if Ghaddafi is toppled will be worse. Do I really sound like a war mongerer to you?

We already have health care for all Americans. Most hospitals deeply discount for those without insurance, and many serve the poor for free. I admit health care has a cost crisis for those who can pay for insurance, but the issue isn't "conservative greed;" the problem is that there are no controls over providers costs: no tort limits, no branded drug importation, excessive Medicare fee caps for high-cost procedures, poor hospital automation that leads to duplication and mistakes, no Medicare Part D bulk pharma negotiation per law, etc.

I see you boys have been busy - Wow! Going way back up to a previous comment Stu, you mentioned that when people immigrate, it is imperative that they assimilate into the culture they join unless that is asking them to do something against their faith, in which case, they should not emigrate there. That is precisely the point for Christians, and the point I believe Micky is trying make. There is no place on earth for a true Christian, who wants live by the tenets of Christianity, by peace compassion and love. Governments have taken over nearly every inch of this world and we are basically told we have to obey someone in it. In some manner, Christians have to sacrifice their moral conscience to be a part of any state - despite the rhetoric otherwise - religion and state can't be separated. This is why Muslim countries are denounced by so-called Republics and Democracies. Most don't deny that religion is their state. The ones that do deny it, especially places like Saudi Arabia, have uprising under the surface because there is a power battle in place. While I am not for government redistributing wealth, I am also not against it. Either way, it does not matter. All I know is that the wealthy are in a much healthier position to make sure the laws continue to favor them and whatever agenda they want to finalize. There are no real checks and balances for them. People can work in positions where they make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, smoke and do illegal drugs if they so wish, and no one cares. But the poor guys trying just to pay their rent and car payments are monitored, tested and can be fired if traces of substances are found. We have a growing prison system because of all this minor drug possession and the housing of unskilled laborers who got caught and never got a chance to get started. And now the wealthy have found another market, prison building and law enforcement - privatized. They are making human resource out of people they don't have any value anyway. And for the record, I've never done any drugs in my life, not even as much as Clinton and his puff, but I don't view the use of them in the same light as many do. If a Christian gets into office, then their priority should be their Christian morals because those should always taken precedence. And if their Christian morals took over, they would get run out of office because neither the Republicans or Democrats would want them around - and neither would the Independents or the Voters. That's why Christ was crucified. What He was asking of His followers was more than they were willing to do. And those who were in authority trying to keep the wheels of justice and law turning, found Him to be a wrench. A good Christian is a wrench in the system, all systems. The accumulated liabilities of the big federal social programs like SS and Medicare makes up the bulk of the $90 trillion of off balance debt (600% of GNP). WE CAN NEVER REPAY IT, WITH ANY AMOUNT OF FISCAL AUSTERITY. THE ONLY SOLUTION IS PHASING OUT THESE PROGRAMS, SO MOST OF THE OFF BALANCE SHEET DEBT CAN BE RIPPED UP. I know it's rough medicine, but refer to the DOI's promise of the "pursuit of happiness." Notice the word "pursuit." It doesn't say "guarantee."

Your point about Asians is exactly on point. Instead of focusing on disappearing jobs in the financial sector, they largely choose to educate themselves in fields where there is demand, like math, engineering, and IT. Sadly, except for medical students, most return home after graduating, but this doesn't weaken the point any.

I completely agree that persons attaining any policy making role in government should take Christianity into account. Our DOI, the highest law in the land, superior to the Constitution, specifies inalienable individual rights that are based on Christian moral doctrine. Accordingly, all law from the Constitution on down must comport with Christian moral doctrine in both intent and interpretation.
Your point about Christ has an analogy to the TPM. The TPM is similarly villified by the RNC and special interests because they won't prostitute themsleves for money. Thus, they have to raise funds purely at the grassroots level, which is difficult.
I hear what you are saying about Mickey, but I don't believe business disguises itself in patriotism. Businesses exist to make money for their owners. They don't make any bones about it. In fact, common fiduciary law demands that they be operated by their managers to maximize owner wealth, within the confines of applicable law.

Stu, I'd have to say it is an interesting contradiction you made in your responses. You tell me in your comment to me that in America, people can be good Christians, but to AR you say that wealth distribution based on skill, work ethic and luck is okay. I'm still waiting for any conservative Christian to show me scripture supporting this philosophy.
You also say the government can't legally redistribute wealth and it seems okay that the government does all kinds of illegal things which you admitted they do in your response to Micky concerning GWB. The truth sadly is, the government and its agents do whatever they want, when they want, to help people they want to help succeed. They take money and other gifts from lobbyists, especially the biggest corporations, and change laws to benefit them. I've never understood how that shows the rich having skill and a work ethic - just favor with people in high office.
You say the TPM has a difficult time raising funds at grassroots level but their audience and supporters are people with money, the upper-middle class who are determined not to slip down, and wanting to rise up. And then to AR you call liberals and their grassroot difficulties a mob mentality. Obama and the Democrat audience is often aimed at the poor and low-middle-class. These people don't have much money but yes, there are alot more of them and to those that have alot, they might appear to be a mob. In the end, no matter if it is the rich or poor, they are all looking for leaders to protect their own self-interest. The only difference with the rich and wealthy, is they can pretend that their wealth benefits everyone, even when everyone is still unemployed, hungry and homeless.
Pretending that the wealthy are superior decision makers because they have been successful at making money is absurd. It only points to what they consider success to be. For a Christian, success should be knowing you personally did something to make another persons life better. Making money and even running a business successfully is not the same thing as the person who spends hours sitting in a hospital holding the hand of someone who is sick and dying - in fact, it doesn't even compare to the one handing out food at a street corner for those who don't have food today.
Making money the measure of a man or woman's worth is what America is about, and it is a terrible way.
And lastly, I don't believe in the rapture or the left behind series. I think this gives people an excuse to think they don't have to be zealous about their walk with Christ today. The calling is now, and only now. There is no later calling of the masses. There is the wide path for the masses and the narrow road for the ones who really here. It isn't for me or anyone else to judge who is on either road, but, to tell people its okay to be on the wide path because at some later date you can find the narrow road, is a blind leading the blind thought. The foundation is bad, and if the foundation is bad, nothing built upon it will ever be good. The country never worked for the common man and yet that has always been the premise of American democracy. It ignores the thousands of failures for each single success. There has been one Obama who made it to the presidency and still millions of minorities that have starved, been homeless, tortured and died because of America's inhumanity to man. And its not that we are saying it can be fixed - we believe it cannot be. But those that say they are called to Christ have to behave differently, teach differently. And like Christ's pure message, it won't be accepted today anymore than it was accepted in Christ's time. They crucified Him because they didn't want to hear His message anymore. He said they will do the same thing to us. Living in America, people have been lulled into thinking this is a safe place to be a Christian but its not. People have been given a diluted form of Christianity to appease them, but those in power who have the most wealth to lose, will never let the real Christian message ever take hold. Show me anything in scripture where it says that forced wealth redistribution is a proper government function. Christ viewed charity as a personal, not state, function.
The federal government does alot of illegal things, and ALL of them are WRONG. I say the feds should obey the Constitution. The feds are enumerated with the power to run the national defense, stamp coins, sign treaties, and resolve disputes between states. Everything else in DC, and all their regulations, should be defunded and vacated. The whole of DC should fit into 2-3 square blocks of my hometown of Burlington, VT. The Founders intended the STATES to be the locus of power. Remember, the states joined together to form a union, THE UNION DID NOT CREATE THE STATES.
Contrary to popular belief, the TPM is NOT a bunch of rich people. It is almost entirely lower-middle and middle class. Liberals have a mob mentality with regard to how they argue (ad hominem), not in regard to how they fund their candidates. Obama is focused on the poor (buying votes with higher entitlements) and the rich (buying big corporate PAC contributions and giant union bribes in exchange for "favorable" legislation).
I never said only the wealthy can be good decision makers. I merely believe it to be one, among many factors, that may be considered in assessing skill.
You are wrong about the Bible, but it would take far too long to prove it here. Read Revelation. It clearly describes the rapture (the joining together of Christ and His bride, the latter being the Old Testament Saints, plus the 144,000 protected of the Revelation period). Further, the NT in many places descibes Christ as having chosen a few from among the many; the clear meaning is that few will be chosen to be in the bride group, but many (in fact most) will be converted later and belong to the children group. The concept here is that God is creating a "God family." That is why humans were created (to compose the family of God, with Christ at its head as husband).

I totally agree with you about negotiation. It's gotten us nothing but power usurpation by the feds, and more debt than we can ever repay. We need to completely clean house in the Admin and Congress, and install genuine constitutional constructionists who are also fearless debt hawks.
I don't think conservatives view others as "stupid worthless Americans;" they simply don't believe in wealth redistribution unless it is affordable (does not require debt buildup or high taxes), and is purely needs based.

There are gated communities all over Chucktown. All gated communities have LOVELY paths. Rivers Avenue is one of the oldest thoroughfares in the area. Low-income apartments are continuously built so that the poor can push their baby strollers in the mud.
How about Asheville, North Carolina? You can't walk from the center of Asheville without crossing a four lane road multiple times.
In Hillsborough, NC we have a sidewalk that goes into a tree. I doubt anyone has ever used it.

Micky, I agree. I don't think it is possible for a person who calls themselves a Christian, to enter into politics and hold onto their integrity. It all begins with campaign funding. You have to be rich, not a good leader, to get elected. Just using that as a springboard, the country heads in the wrong direction. It's never really been about getting the best person in office - at least not since they threw George Washington into office (and he wasn't really the first one, but the kids never learn that in history class).
As you said, even after the civil war, the election was fixed because the South in economic ruin after the war - slave labor could not be replaced, kind of like all these businesses and corporations today saying they can't compete on the global market without near slave labor. They ship jobs overseas and pretend they are doing some great humanitarian thing for the people in those countries. Sure, they pay them a few bucks but they are still in poverty - and the U.S. job is gone, so some poor fellow over here has to go back to working at McDonalds or something because people call him lazy for not working. Sure that minimum wage job gets him off the unemployment rolls and everyone can say everything is looking brighter, but that guy is making not even half of what he used to make, he can't make his house payment, can't make his car payment, can't put his kids through school, and can't even pay his own student loans when he earned that college degree that took him eventually to McDonalds, flipping burgers. I too am tired of the rhetoric and lies, the false idea that redistributing wealth is this evil marxist idea. The rich used the government and manipulation of the laws to get rich, so what is the big deal about government helping the little guys get some of it back? Americans that cannot find work are not lazy. Most of them realize that all the work and effort they did has come to nought because those with bigger bank accounts and the title and position to make big decisions, sold them out, and sent their jobs overseas so they could compete in this global market - and I hate the word 'compete' because it is a lie. It's not about competeing. No one can or should compete with slave labor. If those other nations can raise their standards up, America, if it was Christian, should have insisted they raise their standards up or not do business with them at all. Stu, we have to get the proper foundation before we can answer that question. You asked me where in Scripture it says that wealth redistribution is a proper government function. I ask, where in Scripture are Christians suppose to involve themselves and believe in a government? Like I have said, I don't care if the government redistributes the wealth or not, but all I see is that government currently makes sure the rich can hold onto what they have and make more at the expense of the poor and middle class. And if you thought it was civil war back in the 1800s, can you just imagine the civil unrest in this country if state take control of their own government's again? Just like our governor here in Wisconsin, they will stop doing for and caring about the inner cities and those who have nothing to donate to their campaign funds. The major cities will become bigger blights than they are now. And when civil unrest explodes in those cities like they did in the 60s, the first thing all these governors are going to do, is call for the president to send in federal troops and protect them. Even if what they've done to the people is wrong, the federal government will rise up and protect the bad local governments from those savage masses - those scary mobs of minorities and poor people - who have finally said, enough is enough. The whole thing is top heavy and getting worse every day. The rich are emboldening their position because they know, as we all know, this powderkeg is going to blow. The peace is false in America. Conservatives can try all they like to say there is no class war, but there is. Globalization has made America and the West a worse and worse place to live. Sure, its still better than many other places in the world, but it won't remain that way, and it has nothing to do with Obama and any kind of socialist agenda. It has everything to do with greed, and the idea that it is okay to compete for the basic necessities of life. For good or bad, right or wrong, lazy or hardworking, everyone needs the basics and if they are not freely available like a pond of water to drink from and a deer in the forest for food, people will eventually break the law and take it. We have too many kings and too many kings forests. They think they own everything and everyone should have to do homage to them for those basic things of life. If the government can be used to save people's butts from outside invaders, it sure as heck can be used to help homeless people get a home, hungry people get bread, and sick people get healthcare. People who are greedy won't surrender things through charity and usually have to be forced to give it up. All conservatives are really saying is, It's okay to be Christian and be greedy.
And you are right, debating the rapture theory here would probably be pointless. All I know is what Christ told us, and Revelations bears Him out - and that is, the next time He comes back, its all over. He is not coming back twice, once for a supposed elite and another time for the rest. And sadly, as I have written in previous hubs, Christians are the people who call themselves Christian necessarily - and in fact, they may actually be people who have known of Him. I totally agree there's alot of evil in government. Yes, there are too many tax loopholes for the rich. And too many of the poor pay nothing. The middle class gets reamed. There are alot of poor voters, and the rich can make campaign contributions, explaining the special treatment. But getting all down because Congress is whoring itself is crazy. Fight to fix the rules, like reforming campaign financing. Just ranting about evil doesn't fix it, you have to do something. In the 111th Congress, about half of the Obama agenda was stopped, due to citizen complaints and petitions to Congress, and remember that the 111th Congress was totally controlled by the Democrats. The people put reelection fear into these guys. What the people do DOES make a differrence, if ALOT of people do it. You can't get so jaded. Focus your energy on activism, not rage.
How am I sucking up to the rich? I want a flat tax rate on consumption, no loopholes, a complete end to the non-retaliatory tariffs that are letting our jobs get offshored, an end to government subsidy of business and no-bid earmarks, an end to illegals taking American jobs, etc. On balance, this is a VERY anti-corporate position (relative to the current state of affairs). I don't want to hurt or favor the poor, middle, or rich. I want a FAIR playing field, and everyone to reap the true value of what they produce, minus a fair, uniform tax (flat percent of end use consumption) to fund government, that people can't escape through shelters and cheating.
How am I evil? What injustice am I tolerating? I know injustice exists, but I don't see how I've indicated that I "tolerate" it. Obviously, I can't unilaterally make it go away, but neither can you. Most courts in the US ARE horrible. It's because they DON'T OBEY THE LAW AS SET FORTH IN THE CONSTITUTION, FEDERAL CODE, STATE CODE, AND MUNICIPAL CODE. I completely agree that there will be contingencies that justify debt, such as natural disasters and wars. But PLANNED expenditures must be kept low enough so that (1) borrowing is not necessary, and (2) taxes are not onerous. Our current debt crisis, which threatens to bankrupt the nation, is a direct result of not following this policy.
Is my lie in saying that "every liberal endorses redistribution of wealth?" If yes, let me clarify. As you know, I am a TPM conservative, and even I endorse wealth redistribution, but subject to sensible constraints (to prevent national financial collapse):
(1) All such systems must be funded and admnistered by the states, since the federal government has no enumerated power to operate them.
(2) Benefits must be held low enough so that no borrowing is necessary
(3) Benefits must be held low enough so that state taxes are affordable.
(4) All benefits must be needs tested.

What possible selfishness did I express? Am I "selfish" because I don't want to see the nation go down if financial flames? Do you read the newspaper? Do you know what's going on in the UK, Portugal, Italy, Ireland, Greece, and Spain? THEY ARE FALLING APART. Their central governments can't pay their bills, they are laying off government workers like crazy, cutting social benefits to the bone, etc. And they are doing it in an atmosphere of crisis. My wish is to begin the austerity process here as fast as possible so we can do it BEFORE crisis mode sets in, making the carnage LESS severe. The longer we wait, the more painful the cure is going to be. And if we wait too long, no cure will work.
You need to do a reality check. You think financial and other resources are infinite. They're not. They just "appear" that way because of the US government's ability to print money out of thin air, and borrow over $1.5 trillion per year. What happens when creditors become too scared to lend to us because they don't think we can repay the money? Do we just default? Do we print massive amounts of fiat money to "repay" the debt? In either case the US dollar becomes worthless against other currencies. Our core industrial base and mining capabilities have been largely mothballed. I'm ACUTELY aware that my prescription for fixing this problem will be VERY painful (50% federal government payroll cut, 50% increase in federal revenues by scrapping the FIT and going to a 20% VAT, and phasing out all federal entitlement programs over a couple decades). Counting both investor owned debt (the official debt), and debt backing entitltlement programs (the off balance sheet debt), we owe over $100 trillion dollars (about 85% of this is the off balance sheet debt). That's 700% of GNP, with no collatoral. We can never repay it all; in fact, we can never repay most of it. The ONLY solution is paying off the official debt through fiscal austerity (much lower federal payroll, much higher tax base), and abrogating (canceling) most of the off balance sheet debt by phasing out SS, Medicare, and Medicaid (as the system liabilities disappears, so can the off balance sheet debt that "promises" to back them).
Don't confuse reality awareness with meanness. You need to wake up and realize that reality denial is COWARDICE.

Fascism is an optional "bolt-on" attribute to socialism/communism (extreme left wing ideology) that espouses fierce national pride, expansion by war, and racial bigotry. I'm a right winger, and so by definition, cannot be a fascist.
Brainwashing IS a major problem in our nation. Most of it is enabled by failure to obey the intent of the Constitution and other bodies of law (such as federal and state code). Propaganda would be minimized, and be least effective, if the law were constructionistly adhered to, and the people understood the framer intent behind our important laws.
Americans ARE beginning to stand up to our fake royalty. Persons in all three branches of federal government behave like dictators, stealing power from the other branches, as well as the states and the people. Ending this "kingly" behavior is the whole reason for being of the TPM.

I'm afraid you have things backwards. It is the left wing philosophy that embraces centalized control, the usurpation of state and individual freedoms. They bill it as "equality," but what it always ends up as is "the equal right to have nothing," no freedom, no wealth, nothing.
I'm not arguing in favor of posse type right wing extremism, where you have anarchic control by a radical elite. But there is a middle ground.
Our Constiution embraces "federalism," meaning vertical separation of powers. To prevent central tyranny, federal power is limited strictly to those powers enumerated in the Constiution. All other powers, other than those explicitly denied, flow to the states, where they are shared acccording to state culture with the people.
In Obama's world, federalism doesn't exist. All three branches of federal government usurp the powers of the states and the people (and each other). This has been going on for 120 years, but never at such a rapid rate as under Obama. He's literally turning our nation into a socialist dictatorship.
Rep. Bachmann is absolutely correct about multiculturalism. There is nothing wrong with people maintaining their private culture in the home and at places of worship. But in society at large, if you don't have assimilation in culture and language, you have fragmentation, and ultimately chaos, as we are witnessing now in the UK and Central Europe. In the Far East, it is already resulting in genocide of Christians by Muslims (such as in Malaysia).

E Pluribus Unum, the dictum on the Seal of the United States, is Latin for "Out of many, one," the EXACT OPPOSITE of multiculturalism. Tolerance means coming together in a manner that ignores race and other non-merit factors. Using non-merit factors to split us apart (multiculturalism) just spawns anarchy, liberation theology, insurrection, infiltration, treason, and potential takeover.
Equal freedom requires equal responsibility. When you emigrate, you are expected to assimilate to the host country, not create a subculture. You learn the language and culture, and practice it. You become "one of the many."
